However, because a couch develops his infinite possibilities to be a great pitcher, he is scouted by the high school in Tokyo having a strong baseball club.  This manga is about how he becomes an Ace through trial and error, and how his team beat rivals, then go to the "KOSHIEN" which is the biggest high school baseball competition. More than 40 million copies have been sold. One of the best baseball manga in Japan.

After kazuya who is a talented baseball player is struck in a traffic accident and passed away, a lazy Tatsuya takes over his brother's willing to go to the Koshien. Since the Volume 1 was published in1981, this manga has been  loved for about 40 years in Japan. It is clear that if you read this manga, you may know what is the Koshien? Why the Koshien is special for baseball players?? 

 

What's meaning of Dokaben?? Who is Taro Yamada?? Starting from in 1972, this is the oldest loved Japanese baseball manga. After several series have been published, 48milion copies were sold so far. It takes a lot of time to finish the whole series. Therefore, this manga is ideal for those who want to know about Japanese baseball history in more detail and enjoy following growth story of each character. My favorite series is a story after taro becomes a professional baseball player. 

 Yankee means bad boys in Japanese who enjoy smoking, playing and fighting rather than studying and playing sports seriously. The new appointed teacher Koichi Kawato at the Futakotamagawa high school. Under his regulation, Yankee baseball members change into guys who love baseball and make an effort very hard to go to the Koshien. Based on this manga, TV drama "ROOKIES" was broadcasted in 2007 with extremely high popularities. I love this manga as even bad youth change their behavior and mindset under a dedicated teacher. The teacher Koichi is the role model for all teachers. You can study not only the knowledge of baseball, but life lessons. Let me introduce the most famous ward koichi says in this manga, it is "Follow your dream! Reach for a bright future!"

Shotaro Karino who is the member of national junior high school baseball team gets into a DL high school whose baseball club is really strong. However, he realizes that this baseball club is hell. It means that all freshman in baseball club have to follow a variety of strict rules, such as don't see a woman, don't laugh and sitting straight at room etc. Can they undergo difficulties and go to the Koshien?? The reason why this manga is significantly popular is that some people empathize with this manga. 

 Although you can't believe this stupid regulation and story, these things were seen at a few schools in Japan a couple decades ago. Actually, I am no exception！
